Today was a bit of a travel day. We got up early to take a taxi from the hotel to the airport, fly to Phuket, taxi again to Ban bang rong pier, longboat it to Koh yao noi, and finally tuktuk it to our villa.

Upon arriving at Ban bang rong pier, we were instructued to call Mr Don, a tuktuk driver that our Airbnb host put us in contact with to get us to our villa. Very welcoming guy, who was as chatty as they come, telling us what restaurants are good, what ones are bad, and lots more advice on things to do on the island.

After dumping the bags in our new home for the next few weeks, we walked out onto the balcony and kind of just stood there in silence for a moment. Of course we’d seen the photos of the view, but it doesn’t quite do it justice until you see it in person.

After settling in, we walked down to get some dinner, and as usual found a gem of a place with delicious food. I think I can handle living here for a few weeks.
