Our villa is in a great location with restaurants nearby and a little shop, but to have access to other spots on the island, we had to get some transport. Luckily there is a motorbike rental place a few minutes down the road from the villa and after getting some breakfast in the morning, we rented one for our stay here.

With some new wheels acquired, and not much training given 🤣, we headed to 7-11 to stock up on some food, and have a mooch around the local shops. Back home, I worked on some personal bits, and took a quick nap before starting work (I could get used to this lifestyle).

Later in the evening, on my break, I downloaded a “Learn Thai” audiobook to get a few greetings under my belt (สวัสดี 👋🏻). I don’t think it’s a bad idea to at least know the basics of the language as it shows a little courtesy to locals.

For dinner, we booked a reservation at The Rice Paddy. It was a beautiful evening with delicious food, super friendly staff, and the owner – a German man couldn’t have been more attentive. Good day.
