Let’s Create a Brand New Xcode Project

May 11th, 2020

Open up Xcode and select Create a new Xcode project.

Start off by creating a Single view app as Xcode assumes nothing about your app and won’t customise the app towards a game etc.

In the next screen, first name your Product I am Rich.

Then add in your Organization Identifier. The Organization Identifier is a reverse domain name, such as com.example. As you type in this value, you will see the Bundle Identifier value change. This Bundle Identifier value is sort of like a URL and should be unique for each app on the App Store.

With the Product Name and Organization Identifier entered, this creates your Bundle Identifier name.

Next, select the language as Swift. and User Interface as Storyboard.

Click next and save your new project to a location on your Mac, then click create.
