Brum Day
Made my way over to Brum this morning to meet my mate, have a good ol’ catch up and eat some tasty food.
I briefly ended up in Coventry…
As I was waiting to get off the train in Birmingham, the carriage walkway was full of people standing facing the exit, so I waited a bit as I thought there was some obstruction or the doors weren’t open yet etc. Nope, the whistle went and off we went… all in all, I lost about 20 minutes, so not toooooo bad.
Anywho, once I arrived in New Street, I meandered about for a bit, checking out the overpriced Christmas markets that all seemed to selling tat – pretzels, or burgers and then I made my way to the Apple Store.
I’ve wanted an iPad Mini for some time now, so when the announcement was made about the new Mini in October, I knew I’d eventually be adding it to my kit. Well today was the day. Within about 10 minutes, I walked in and out with my new iPad Mini and was quickly ordering a cover on Amazon as I continued my meandering.
Can’t be paying Apple prices for a cover now.
After getting a decent amount of steps in, mozying about, I met my mate in the stylish Medicine, where we grabbed some coffees and light food.
Later on, after walking around the town to check out two new coffee places, we grabbed lunch in one of my favourite Dim Sum places. I swear, I always feel giddy when we go out to lunch as its always a great time – tasty dim sum and catching up with an old friend.
Heading back to the station, we popped into a Chinese supermarket and a bakery, where I got a little treat to bring home for later.
Brum, you are awesome.
